Gabriele Orlando Jr., 78, of Pleasant View Drive, Gloversville died Thursday July 22, 2010 at the Albany Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born on December 22, 1931 in Mount Kisco, NY. The son of the late; Gabriele and Sadie Mastrangelo Orlando. He was employed as a Builder for many years.
Gabriele lived to build and create things. He was an artist, father, husband and a person who always gave of himself to others. He also had a strong love for all canine companions.
In 1952 he married Florence E. Bates with whom he celebrated 58 years of Marriage with.
Survivors include his wife; Florence Orlando of Gloversville. Two sons; Gabriele (Debra) Orlando of Newbury, NH and Thomas (Lauren) Orlando of Gloversville. Six grandsons; Nicholas, Michael, Dominic, Daniel, Thomas and Lucas also survive him. He was predeceased by his son; John Orlando in 1980.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Brennan Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd. Gloversville, NY 12078.
