Edward F. Burdick, 84, of Trackside Homes, Johnstown, died Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, following a long illness. He was born in Gloversville, N.Y., on September 19, 1925, the son of the late Jason and Gladys Miers Burdick. He was employed as a glove specialist for Gates Mills Glove Company in Johnstown and Mario Papa Glove Company in Gloversville.
He was a member of Betty Green's Senior Chorus Group and the Mockingbirds singing group in Gloversville.
Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Person-Burdick of Johnstown; his stepchildren, Edward Person of Gloversville, Kenneth Person of Fort Plain, Robert Person of Gloversville, Charlene Nowak of Belchertown, Mass., and Alta O'Brien of Florida. He is also survived by his cousins, Robert and Mary Miers of Mohawk, N.Y., Katherine Lofgran and her family of Mesa, Ariz., and stepgrandchildren, Benjamin, Nia, Jennifer, Stephen and Timothy Person.
Friends may call on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Gloversville Funeral Service, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville (725-6116).
